ORGANISATIONS

FRIENDS OF THE CATHEDRAL

The Friends of St Paul’s Pro-Cathedral Valletta was started in 1968. Their purpose is to support the work and worship of the Pro-Cathedral by assisting financially and creatively in the repair, improvement and preservation of the building and its precincts, furnishings and music. The First Friend on the Roll was HRH The Duke of Edinburgh who together with his wife Queen Elizabeth share a close association with Malta, its peoples and the Pro-Cathedral. The Friends of the Pro-Cathedral is a worldwide organisation built of people who have lived on Malta, worshipped here and then moved abroad.

MOTHERS’ UNION IN MALTA AND GOZO

In the Maltese Islands the branch of the Mothers’ Union seeks to support those parents and children whose family lives have been disrupted. Great emphasis is placed on the ecumenical links which the Anglican church has established here in Malta. Visiting members are most welcome to attend any of our monthly meetings.

CHOIRS & CONCERTS

Visiting choir members are most welcome to join the Pro-Cathedral choir for Sunday services whilst in Malta. Please advise the Warden (see Contact below). The choir rehearses in the Cathedral starting at 10.30am on Sundays. St Paul’s has a long musical tradition. The St Paul Choral Society – a local choir directed by Dr Agius Muscat sings at certain services. Visiting choirs and musicians are welcomed to give planned performances all of which contribute to the musical life of Valletta.
