Mission Statement – Chaplaincy of Malta and Gozo
“Serving God and the community – An Anglican presence on the Islands of Malta and Gozo”
> We believe that the Churches mission, in obedience to Holy Scripture is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus in every generation.
> We believe that the celebration of Mass (Holy Communion) is central to our practice of faith as given in the Gospel.
> We believe that all people are created equal in God’s image and that discrimination of any kind is wrong. (Race, sexuality, gender, disability, economic circumstance)
> We believe that faith is nurtured in welcoming (inclusive and safe) communities (taught)
> We believe that our focus should be outward looking (as well as inward)
> We believe that we have responsibility for the care of Gods earth.

The Congregation of Our Lady and St George meets in the chapel of the Roman Catholic seminary in Victoria Gozo for which we are grateful to his Grace the Bishop of Gozo and the Rector of the seminary.

The address of the seminary is Triq Enrico Mizzi, Victoria, VCT 2042, Gozo. Entry is via the seminary courtyard doorway.

Our Chaplain is Cannon David Wright and can be contacted on chancellor@stpaulspromalta.org

Services are held every Wednesday at 11am. Further details can be obtained by calling the Warden: (00356) 79233275 or email: gozowarden@gmail.com

Having previously existed in a much more informal way, since the early 1970s the congregation was formally inaugurated in 2005. The patronal feast is that of St George on April 23 rd.

The Congregation of Our Lady and St George enjoys good relations with other denominations on the island and takes an active role in the ecumenical carol service and the service for the week of Christian unity. We welcome to our services, Christian brothers and sisters from all denominations.

Updates on our activities can be found on our Facebook page: Anglican in Gozo
